Family is everything for Steve. He cherishes every moment in time with his wife of 35 years, Christy, and their three daughters – Gabrielle, Alexandra, and Devin– who are starting families of their own. As the founding partner of SYKON, Steve has developed an extended family within a multi-generational private wealth and asset management practice.

The journey to this point was not straightforward, but Steve’s work ethic and relentless positivity were to be formidable assets throughout his career. Upon graduating from Princeton University in 1982, Steve had his sights set on law school, but after funding his own undergraduate education, he would need to work and save to continue his studies. This led Steve to a job at a small municipal bond firm and he never looked back.

Steve is proud to have worked with four generations of many of our clients and has truly become an integral part of their families. Steve speaks with clients regularly, and while many conversations revolve around portfolios and markets, you are just as likely to find Steve asking about how you and your family are doing and what is happening in your lives, while usually inquiring about some nuanced personal detail you may have once told him in passing. For Steve, our clients and their families are truly what makes this business great and what turned his job in municipal bonds into a career.
 
Steve is a resident of Jupiter, Florida, but enjoys his summers with family and friends in Westchester County and Amagansett, New York. Aside from running SYKON and spending time with family, Steve enjoys playing golf at one of his clubs or watching his thoroughbred horses.
